Commissioned by the Museum of London, this collaborative website facilitated the development of The Exploring 20th Century London partnership, which will create online learning resources about 20th century London, including records catalogued according to shared themes and standards. The resources will be tailored to audience needs in a series of gallery and Web outputs.
The primary partners are the Museum of London and London's Transport Museum, who will develop learning resources and 9000 records about their 20th century designated collections for use in their new galleries and on their Web sites. The additional partners are the Jewish Museum and Croydon Clocktower. Between them the additional partners will contribute a further 2000 records about 20th century collections. An overall set of learning resources and the total set of 11,000 records will then be made accessible through an integrated Web site. The resources, standards and systems will be designed to be extensible in the future.
